In 1959 a Super Constellation Navy aircraft crashed here. This memorial honors those who gave their lives that day in service to their country's people. Read all about it in the photos. The adjacent 3 miles of trails are spectacular to hike, from forest to climbing the Dell's Granite boulders.

This memorial offers remembrance of those on the naval aircraft that crashed here in 1959. There are miles of dirt and rock trails leaving from here and creating different loops. If you are in for a longer run, you can connect all the way over to Willow Lake without touching any pavement.
