The castle was built in 1902-1903 by Imre Miskolczy, a historian, predominantly neobarokk style. In 1906 the estate and the castle were purchased by Ottó Pfeiffer of Sopron, and by 1940 was taken over by General László Karátsony. (Source: kemenesvidek.hu)
