Best Hikes to Atlantic Wall Replica at Hankley Common

Tips

  • Hankley Common is an active military training area and you may see soldiers on exercise as you explore. The Atlantic Wall was built during the Second World War by Canadian Troops to use in training for the D-Day Landings. It is a replica of a section of the Atlantic Wall, a defense system along the west coast of Europe. You can see two large gaps in the wall, damage inflicted during training.
