Tips
The Hornbahnen are a convenient way to get directly into the Kitzbühel mountains. From the valley station in Kitzbühel the Hornbahn I first leads to the middle station. From there it goes either with the second section of the gondola to the mountain station at 1,664 meters above sea level or with the Horngipfelbahn up to 1,966 meters above sea level. Once at the top, there is a fantastic view of the mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps. There are numerous hiking and mountain tours that lead from the two mountain stations to peaks and viewpoints. After a strenuous hike, rustic alpine huts offer delicious food and drinks for refreshment.
