Setra is a bus brand of Daimler AG based in Neu-Ulm, which is sold in Europe in the Daimler Buses division by the Group's subsidiary EvoBus. The original owner of the brand was Kässbohrer Fahrzeugwerke, which built buses under the brand name Kässbohrer Setra until the company ran into economic difficulties and had to sell the bus division to Daimler in 1995. The name Setra is derived from the word “self-supporting”.
