Hiking
The history of the castle goes back to 1200. The origin was a Vorwerk in which the master chefs lived, who performed their service for the Saxon dukes and electors. The best known among them is Mr. George Ernst von Döhlau. In recognition of the achievements, the Vorwerk was elevated to a manor by the Elector in 1665. The manor remained in the possession of the von Döhlau family until 1725 and then changed hands several times. The local castle, which is adjoined by a large park, served as the manor house.
