Best Hikes to Dettinger Höllenlöcher Gorge

Tips

  • Fantastic natural gorge at the end goes to a lookout point with stunning views of Bad Urach, the castle ruins Hohenurach and the Urach waterfall.

  • The hell holes are incredibly impressive. I am surprised that there are not many tourists on pilgrimage.

  • It is worthwhile to descend into the gorge-like depressions in order to get back to the path at the end of the split-off Trauffelsen. While the rugged eaves on the previously visited nails rock was created by detaching a rock ledge, this landslide is still in the offing at this nature reserve "Höllenlöcher".
