Ciucarun (Bell Tower of San Martino)

From this point you can admire the Ciucarun (Belfry of San Martino), continue along the dirt roads of the Serra in the direction of Albarello or towards the Broglina along the Strada Antica della Broglina, or go up in the direction of the Diagonale, above Chiaverano, taking the dirt road of the Avel

Passage place open to the public. Climb inside the bell tower impossible, because it is closed. Beware of any ground wasp nests or hornets near the Ciucarun, in the height of summer!

The bell tower of San Martino, called by the local inhabitants "Ciucarun" is the only surviving building of the old town of Paerno and stands out in the countryside. It is a Romanesque style tower built between the 11th and 12th centuries.
