Former railway bridge on the Dietersdorf-Breitengüßbach branch line over the Alster. It is probably the last surviving stone bridge on this route. The "Itz-Blitz" drove on this route from 1913 to 1975 in passenger traffic. Until 1982 there was only freight traffic. The railway line has probably never paid off. Nature has reclaimed the bridge. You have to fight your way through quite a bit 😉

This stone bridge should be a railway bridge.
There are no longer any rails to be seen, nor can you pass the bridge, nature is taking it back.
The beaver is having fun right next door. 😃
