The bronze sculpture by the Bitburg sculptor Roger Delleré, inaugurated in 1992, depicts the topic of horse trade. It recalls the times when horse and cattle markets held regularly were still part of everyday life in Bitburg. These markets made an important contribution to the city's growth. The work of art shows two Bitburger "originals", Schillings Klaus and Jäschkes Fritz, who seal the purchase of a horse with a handshake.
