Alternative ascent for mountain bikers to Plätzwiese

The narrow toll road to Prato Piazza is particularly busy during the holiday season. At regular intervals, shuttle buses and motorcades, which are influenced by traffic light regulations, wind their way up the mountain road. The gravel path to the Stolla Alm is a great alternative.

Unaffected by traffic, you can enjoy nature here and you will also be guided to an insider tip on Plätzwiese. Even after the new construction in autumn 2017, the Stolla Alm is a rustic little hut with super nice landlords and a clear menu with delicious regional dishes.

At the Stolla Alm you have almost made it to the end of the ascent to Plätzwiese. A short meadow trail leads to the main path near the Plätzwiesenhütte.
