Boffereth Castle was built between 1908 and 1913 by Mr. Joseph Paquot, son of Remy Paquot, director of the Plombières zinc factory. During a trip in the Cotes d'Armor in Brittany, Mr. Paquot discovered Kestellic Castle (from 1901) and he decided to use this castle as an example to build his castle. He used Malmedy stones.
