Even if the Bernkogel with its "only" 2300m is not yet high alpine and it is even considered a grass mountain, the descent towards Hahnbalzköpfle and Rauchkögerl is not to be despised. The trail, on the other hand, is clearly laid out in an alpine manner. With rope insurance and steep edges, it requires a head for heights and surefootedness.
