The fieldstone church was built in the mid-13th century. It consists of a nave, a transverse tower of the same width, a sacristy attached to the south, and another extension to the north. The windows were enlarged in 1836. The walls were repaired with bricks. In 1845, a square, slate-covered turret topped with an eight-sided, knurled roof was added to the transversely arranged gable roof of the church tower. The interior of the nave is covered with a wooden beam ceiling, and the sacristy has a barrel vault. The simple church furnishings include an altar built in 1836. The organ in the western gallery has six registers, a manual, and an attached pedal. It was built in 1850 by Friedrich Hermann Lütkemüller and replaced a positive organ built in 1721 by an unknown organ builder.[1]
