The Drachenwand is a 1176 meter high rock wall in the Salzkammergut Mountains, a mountain group in the Northern Limestone Alps. Due to its attractive tourist location on the western shore of Lake Mondsee, it is a popular destination for hikes from St. Lawrence. Its wooded southern side has only a slight slope, to the north, however, it forms an impressive, almost 700 meters high, almost vertical rock face, which dominates the panorama of the northern Mondsee.
