Yes, you just drive past it like that, ... but recently my 80-year-old neighbor told me that as a young man he was in love with a girl from the neighboring town on the other side of this border, but that would be back then not gone and so this love just remained unfulfilled. (without words)

Today an administrative border that you drive past unnoticed, ... but recently my neighbor, who is over 80 years old, told me a story that I believe, but sounds unbelievable. It describes what borders can do. Because, as a young man, he loved a girl from the neighboring town, across the border here, but that was impossible at the time, it wouldn't have been possible and so this love remained unfulfilled. Sad, but certainly still a harmless experience compared to reception camps at the EU borders today.
