The sculpture, completed in 1781, is dedicated to Saint Anne, protector of Vernole. Made entirely of Lecce sand-stone, it's composed of an octagonal base enriched by the statues of St. Joseph the Patriarch, St. Paul, St. Oronzo and St. Irene. On the top, the statue of Sant’Anna is looking towards the homonym church.
