Altitude 395m - 1750.
This cross, which bears legible inscriptions on both sides, is a copy of the old stone cross, replaced in 1946 by the Water and Forest Administration. It was erected in memory of Théodore Grisard, forestry brigadier of the forests of Her Imperial and Royal Majesty Marie-Thérèse of Austria, assassinated on January 27, 1750 by two thieves from Jalhay. His body was discovered in the Chemin de la Belle Bruyère, a few steps across the road towards Lac de la Gileppe. The assassins were condemned to death and beaten up on the Place de Limbourg in 1751.
