In 1638 Allendorf acquired a half-timbered house in Sooden in order to re-erect it on the foundations of the Gothic town hall built in 1500.
1690 Eastern extension as a so-called cloth house. Ratskeller in the front basement until 1937

The key for climbing the thief tower can be borrowed from the city hall's service office for a deposit of EUR 20.
