The Llobregat is one of the main [1] rivers in Catalonia. It rises in the Llobregat springs, at an altitude of 1,295 m above sea level in Castellar de n'Hug (Berguedà) and flows into the Mediterranean Sea in El Prat de Llobregat, near Barcelona. Its entire basin is in Catalan territory and runs through the counties of Barcelona from north to south.
