A classicist hall from the 19th century. A barn-like church building stood on the site, although it was too small for the church members. The church building was expanded in the middle of the 20th century. A huge building for the small town.

The Catholic parish church of St. Apollonia has existed in its current form since 1951. The parish of Bodenbach was not established until 1861. The chapel that existed at that time was raised to the status of a parish church. It is dedicated to the early Christian martyr Apollonia of Alexandria (name day: February 9). Written sources first mention a chapel in Bodenbach in 1723. It was renovated around 1730 and replaced in 1829 by a decidedly simple building in the so-called "barn style".

Bodenbach has been an independent parish with the communities of Bongard, Borler and Gelenberg since 1861. Previously, Bodenbach, Bongard Borler and Gelenberg belonged to the parish of Kelberg. The Bishop of Trier at the time, Wilhelm Arnold, established the pastoral survey on November 25, 1861, among other things. with the "great distance from the parish church and the wild mountains lying in between". The approximately 8 kilometers of unpaved road to Kelberg was difficult, especially in winter. In 1950/51 the parish church was expanded and on October 9, 1951 by Dr. Bernhard Stein, the auxiliary bishop and later bishop of Trier, inaugurated.

A memorial stone with the accompanying "Kaiserlinde" was erected next to the church in 1913 - as was the case in many Eifel villages. Both commemorate the 100th anniversary of the victory over Napoleon in the Battle of the Nations near Leipzig.

After the conversion of the History Road 2020 to themed circular hiking trails, the associated information board belongs to the circular hiking trails "Peace, Forest and Chapel" and "The ancient Romans and iconic Celts" (History Road of the Kelberg Association of Municipalities, Section 2, Station 22).
