Good work!
You’ve made it up here. We hope it’s sunny so you can enjoy the views. One of the best panoramas of Central and Western Tatras.
Płazówka is a name that came, as many other ending in “ówka” (Polish) or “ovka” (Slovak) from the surname of the owner of the place. Here, the owner’s name was and still is Płaza.
The beautiful St Anna’s Chapel was built by the local families, inspired by a Polish priests from Krakow and Lviv, in 1892. It is a fine example of local wooden architecture. West from the chapel, along the way up, you can find Via Crucis Stations, painted on glass. This place was visited a couple of times by Karol Wojtyla. Several years ago, Płazówka played a role of a Himalayan village in a Bollywood film, starred by Kajol.
