The peak of Becco dell'Aquila is 2,809 meters high. On its eastern flank is the impressive stone formation of the "12 Apostles" about 1.2 kilometers below the summit. The limestone cliffs that rise above the grassy slope like small towers can best be reached from Chaulieres, the last inhabited place in the valley. This is located about 600 meters southeast of the rocks.
