Hiking
The ascent to Ella Rock is one of the more demanding hiking opportunities in Ella. The many variations to the viewpoints are a bit misleading, but with Komoot it should not be a problem and you will be rewarded with terrific views. On the way, there are always local guides available. If you feel insecure with the route guidance, you should accept the offer. But watch out, the prices of up to 5,000 LKR (around 25 €) demanded at the end are disproportionate and you should be patient or negotiate the price better beforehand.
