The castle was built in 1896 and is located in a 16 hectare park that is under nature protection. Until 1932b it belonged to the Berlin publishing house Mosse, then due to economic difficulties until 1945 under forced administration. After 1945 the NVA used the property. In 1995 Ottomar Rodolphe Vlad Dracula Prince Kretzulesco acquired the property. The orangery served as a restaurant until 2006. In 2009 an asset management company bought the castle. In 2014 a fire broke out in the castle. Since then the building has been in a steadily deteriorating state. The complex is a listed building, but unfortunately closed. So you can only see the entrance area exactly.
