The Nahmer Valley is a tranquil region located south of Hagen, Hohenlimburg, and Iserlohn. The Nahmerbach stream flows through it, giving the valley its name. In prehistoric usage, the river "Namara" (Nahmer) is found. The Nahmer River bears witness to pre-Germanic settlements in the Sauerland region; it is a tributary of the Lenne River.
