From the starting point at the Gamsjaga car park, a well-developed forest road leads through a wooded ditch up to the Steingrabenalm. Shortly before the Alm there is a fork in the road, here you turn left up to the Alm. From the Steingrabenalm you continue over a couple of serpentines to the Illingerbergalm.
