The Lech River shapes one of Europe's last remaining wild river landscapes. It flows through the Lech Valley, over the Lech Falls in Füssen, on to Augsburg, and finally flows into the Danube near Rain. What makes this river so special is its color: ranging from light blue-turquoise to jade green. The Lech owes this color to two factors: the high mineral content of the water and the low water temperature, which averages just six degrees Celsius.
