View of La Torre del Peñón or Torre del Pirulico is located on the rock that rises above the sea in the foothills of a cliff on the road that connects Mojácar with Carboneras in the area of Playa Macenas, it is the last one that we find of these characteristics that, communicating visually with the Torre del Rayo, make up the coastal defense system from Adra to Mojácar. It was built during the Nasrid period (12th to 14th centuries) and was used in the Renaissance (16th century) as a watchtower.
