Tips

In the winter of 2014, an avalanche has almost completely destroyed the Szczecin Hut, and a new shed is currently being built. Despite everything, there is already a small timber construction in which hungry hikers can be cared for. In addition, there are several large tents on the wooden terrace where you can spend the night.

Good shelter during thunderstorms. Delicious food and drinks.

Meanwhile, the hut is reopened after the avalanche disaster. You sleep in small wooden huts that are a bit lower than the original hut. Madness, what has already been rebuilt here. Great cabin!

An important base not far from the Eisjöchl, the new hut should be ready in 2023.

Hut on the way between the ice farm and Pfelders. Since the old hut was destroyed in 2014, there is currently a provisional where simple but delicious food is offered. The new hut is currently under construction - impressive to watch the workers at this height.
