The pilgrimage chapel Maria Hügel was built in 1866, before an image of Mary was venerated here in a tree.
Almost completely destroyed in 1944, after the end of the war it was rebuilt by volunteers and those returning from the war.

Beautiful little chapel in a great location. Great view of the Rhine, the Vosges, Bamlach and Alsace. Lots of seating. The chapel is freely accessible.
