Once the site of the Severn and Wye Railway, this area has been turned into an important habitat for the wildlife that's now abundant in this former industrial area.

Keep an eye out for Mandarin ducks and mute swans, both resident on the water. A tranquil area, this is a great picnic spot if you're hiking or cycling in the forest.

Hiking

Once the site of a railway station, Cannop Ponds is now an idyllic area for walking and wildlife watching. Mute swans and reed warblers both call the ponds their home so keep an eye out and you could well be lucky enough to spot them.

This area has cycling and hiking trails as well as picnic tables where you can relax in the sunshine.
