The Iselturm is part of the partially preserved city wall of Lienz. The tower has been restored, the fresco on the wall is by Toni Fronthaler. The medieval fortification dates back to 1311 and dates back to an expansion of the city. Well-preserved parts can still be found along the Iselkais, at the Spitalkirche (city tower at the northeast corner), in Kreuzgasse as well as in Zwergerasse and Mühlgasse.
