Named after the Christian martyr Dionysius of Paris, the church of the Evangelical Lutheran congregation of this district town in the Lüneburg Heath stands on a small hill right in the town center, where Walsroder Straße, Soltauer Straße, and Vogteistraße meet at the church square.
