        The St. Dionysius Church
The St. Dionysius Church is a landmark of the town, standing on a hill in the town center. It bears the name of Saint Dionysius, who was sent to Paris in the 3rd century AD to evangelize and was martyred there.

A church in Fallingbostel was first mentioned in documents in 1293. In 1525-1529, at the instigation of the Duke of Lüneburg, Ernest the Confessor, the Evangelical Lutheran doctrine was introduced in Fallingbostel. In 1549, the St. Dionysius Church was built over the demolished previous building, which was badly damaged after the great fire of 1784. In 1829/30, a new three-aisled church was built in a simple, classicist style as a gallery hall, the middle section of which has a wooden barrel vault. A beautiful organ facade was added to the west. Instead of the separate wooden bell tower from 1695, a stone tower was added to the west in 1903/04.
