Southward is a steep climb from the Groelsbeek stream to the heights of Uccle.

The section of the route through Ixelles and the beginning of Uccle is great. However, taking Chaussée d'Alsemberg and then going back up along the cemetery isn't ideal: 1. The tram runs on Chaussée d'Alsemberg 2. The climb along the cemetery is very steep. So I recommend taking Rue du Bourdon from the beginning, after Rue du Château d'Or.
Or an even quieter alternative: take Rue du Rosseau then Rue des Griottes. From there, you can reach Rue du Bourdon or, a little longer but very bucolic, take Avenue des Tilleuls and then the path along the railway to reach Avenue des Sophoras.translated by
