The history of every single house around the market square is well documented in Neubeuert - the former pastor Josef Reuder can trace the history of most of the houses back to the 16th century. Only relatively little is known about the gate towers of the market.Today, the gate towers in Neubeuert make a rather peaceful impression: The one in the southeast, the so-called Salzburg Tower, with its lattice window looks homely and if there were still geraniums in front of it, it would almost have something from Spitzweg. The northern tower, the so-called Munich tower, looks downright playful anyway with its curved lines.
