The "Lietebaum" linden tree is considered a landmark near Möhra. This veteran tree stands prominently on the Herzeberg and originally served as a grazing tree. The name was taken from the field "An der Liete." The striking 200- to 250-year-old small-leaved linden tree was designated a natural monument in 1994.

The Lietebaum is an ancient large-leaved linden tree, considered a natural monument and one of the most famous trees in the region. 🌿 With its mighty trunk and expansive crown, it's not only a beautiful photo opportunity, but also a piece of living history.
The tree is estimated to be over 250 years old and stands very close to Luther's ancestral home in Möhra. ✨ Various hiking trails lead from here – including to the Hausmannsstein viewpoint. 🌄
A place to marvel, rest, and pause. 💚
