The small museum has moved several times since it was founded in 1964 and is now at its final location at Im Sande 14. The permanent exhibition "School at that time" is remarkable. In an old classroom, school classes can experience what class was like back then. There is also a barber shop from 1920 and an old shoemaker's workshop.

The Heimatmuseum Seelze is housed in a four-storey half-timbered house, built by a shoemaker in 1856 in the second oldest street of Letters "Im Sande".
