Höherberg and Chapel of the Fourteen Holy Helpers

The Höherberg (242 m asl) is located in the middle of the Golden Mark, a fertile landscape in the Untereichsfeld about 11 kilometers northwest of Duderstadt. Adjacent places are Wollbrandshausen, Gieboldehausen, Bilshausen and Lake Constance. (...) From here you have a beautiful view of the landscape of the Eichsfelder Basin and the adjacent mountain ranges, such as the Göttinger Wald, the Ohmgebirge and the Rotenberg, in good weather even to the Harz. Since 1856 the pilgrimage chapel of the fourteen Holy Nothelfern is located on the Höherberg. From Wollbrandshausen and Lake Constance a crossroads with 14 stations lead to this chapel.
