One thing you should think about beforehand is the cost of loungers and umbrellas. At Playa de Jandia, 2 loungers and a parasol cost a total of €13.50 per day. Not a cheap treat!
But what alternatives do you have!
A more robust beach shelter with picnic blanket. Protects against wind and sand. Everything fits in the suitcase. You could hardly find any beach shelters for sale in the local shops and if you did, they were very simple ones and could barely withstand the wind!
Or buy a parasol and 2 small folding chairs on site....
