In Makowiecki Las, on the night of December 27/28, 1944, the crew of the Halifax LL-118 "c" aircraft from the 301st Squadron took off from the Italian base Campo Casale near Brindisi and made a material drop for the soldiers of the Home Army. ". On that day, the crew performed 4 raids and after less than 11 hours of flight returned to the base.
