Erdmannsdorf Castle is a historicist style castle in Erdmannsdorf in the Ore Mountains of the same name. In 1843 it was converted into a castle in its current form. The palace was built in the Tudor Gothic style, but its decorative elements were destroyed around 1965 when the exterior plaster was renewed. In 2000 the outbuilding was restored. In addition to four apartments, club rooms and an exhibition room were created on the ground floor. n the painting garden terrace (which is also known as "Schlossterrasse" or "Blick von Erdmannsdorf") the ambience of the castle around 1811 is shown by the important painter of the German Romanticism Caspar David Friedrich. This oil painting on canvas (with the dimensions 53.5 cm × 70 cm) is in the "New Pavilion" of the Charlottenburg Palace in Berlin.
