Wat Bang Krasop, the oldest part is 700 years old. Nice place for stop and short visit and do walk to the river.

Wat Bang Krasop is a secluded Buddhist temple in the verdant heart of Bang Krachao, often referred to as the "Green Lung of Bangkok." Located in the Phra Pradaeng district of Samut Prakan Province, it offers visitors a glimpse into the spiritual and cultural side of this unique region.

The temple is accessible via a path approximately two kilometers long from the main road, Thanon Phetchahung (ถนนเพชรหึงษ์), which leads through dense vegetation and plantations. This route is particularly attractive for cyclists, as it offers a peaceful and natural ride. At the end of this path, Wat Bang Krasop welcomes visitors with an atmosphere of peace and seclusion.

A notable feature of the temple is the viharn, which is over two centuries old. Time has left its mark on the walls, with the original bricks visible in some places under the peeling plaster. Inside the viharn are several Buddha statues of varying sizes, some of which are covered with a thick layer of gold, testifying to the temple's long history and significance.

In the immediate vicinity of the viharn stands an ancient chedi, whose niches are decorated with small statues. Next to it are the remains of structures overgrown with trees, giving the place a mystical and timeless atmosphere. This scenery creates the impression that time has stood still here and contributes significantly to the charm of Wat Bang Krasop.
