The unpaved dirt road directly on the Ems is not part of the official Emsweges, a small side trip worth in my opinion, but in any case. The Ems is particularly natural and beautiful in this area. As you can see in the photo, there is even a small lonely beach with the possibility to swim in the Ems. Attention, officially it is probably not and not guarded, but very nice. After about one kilometer you come back over a bridge on the paved Ems bike path.
