Castelsardo is a village with its famous castle, a museum to visit it. Its coast is mainly rocky but there is no shortage of beaches, even a few kilometers away by bike. It offers numerous restaurants, most with typical seafood dishes.

A visit to Castelsardo and the old town below the fortress is definitely worthwhile, even if climbing the stairs is a bit tedious. The type of window shutters still shows the influence of the Genoese at that time. The fishing village is known for its traditional art of basket weaving. The Rieten of Holy Week (lit only by torchlight, groups in white robes, accompanied by Gregorian chants, move through the old town) - is probably something very special.
