The Dornbusch beacon can be reached via a hiking trail from the monastery. The landmark of Hiddensee is 28 meters high. The lighthouse with its viewing platform can be visited from May to October.

The Dornbusch lighthouse is the landmark of the island of Hiddensee.
The lighthouse is easily accessible on foot - if you want to go up the lighthouse, you should check the opening times beforehand. As of 2022, admission costs €3.

Due to its location on a Dornbusch hill rising 72 meters above sea level, the lighthouse is called the "Dornbusch Lighthouse".
The lighthouse on the Dornbusch, which was put into operation in 1888, is the landmark of Hiddensee. Its light shines from a height of around 100 m about 45 km out onto the open Baltic Sea and provides important orientation for coastal shipping.
The 28 m high tower is originally a round brick building. You can visit the permanent exhibition
