Der Zirkus Kommt sculpture by Jo Jastram, Ribnitz-Damgarten

As a sponsor of regional art, the Lions Club Ribnitz-Damgarten has been supporting the commitment of artists in the area for years.
The close connection to the important sculptor Jo Jastram gave rise to the common desire to erect a large-scale sculpture in the town of Ribnitz-Damgarten, which refers to the artist's work in the region and at the same time enriches the townscape. In 2005 a good location was found here on the Ribnitz harbor promenade. The work of art was mainly financed by private funds. The former Federal Chancellor Gerhard Schröder took over the patronage.
