Accessible from the yellow trail or from the red trail (GSB) off the main road. There is a bus stop near. Below is a translation from a local website: krajoznawcy.info.pl/przelecz-halbowska-zbiorowa-mogila-zydow-34385 (stronie internetowy jest po polsku)

The Hałbowska Pass is located in the Low Beskids on the Nowy Żmigród route? Krempna., Between the peaks of Kamień and Kolanina. From the pass, we enter the forest along the yellow trail (towards Krempna), which after several dozen meters leads to the monument at the execution site.

On July 7, 1942, the Nazis executed 1,250 Jews brought from the ghetto in Nowy Żmigród in this place . The executors were the Gestapo officer Helmut Mentz and the staroste Walter Gentz. The surrounding areas used to be inhabited by a multinational and multi-religious population. So Jews also lived here . From the beginning of World War II, the Jewish population was gathered in ghettos. One of them was established in Nowy Żmigród. Everyone from the area was gathered here. The ghetto existed until the beginning of July 1942. Under the guise of resettlement of its inhabitants, all of them were transported to the Hałbowska Passwhere the execution was carried out. The corpse rests in a mass grave. It was made by family members who survived the war. Behind the new metal fence is a long stone tablet. There are several steles with inscriptions on it. There are some names in Hebrew, Polish and English. This memorial site for the Jewish people is well-kept.
