Old Alvarado Park, dedicated to Cesar Chavez in 1999, is surrounded by local independent businesses and a residential neighborhood. The center of the park features a gazebo used for live events like concerts and weddings. There is also an open grassy field as well as a playground and basketball court. The park has three picnic areas, restrooms, and drinking water fountains, connected by paved trails.
