The castle of Pomaro Monferrato is a military structure located in the municipality of the same name, in the province of Alessandria.
The manor, with a lookout tower and moat, was built on a hill by the Aleramici, future marquises of Monferrato, in the 12th century.
The castle, due to its strategic position on the border of the marquisate, was at the center of clashes for control of the territory over the centuries.
The castle is currently also used for ceremonies and events.
